About the NSCAA 30 Under 30 Program DeRose, who joined the Bears’ staff in June of 2016, helped Knox College set a school record for wins in 2015. Launched in 2013, the NSCAA 30 Under 30 program is a yearlong education and mentorship opportunity for a select group of coaches who have made soccer coaching their career of choice. The program was created to support fledgling coaches and foster their growth at a crucial point in their vocation. Participants in the program receive an educational scholarship that includes complimentary registration to the NSCAA Convention, a travel stipend of $300 to attend NSCAA educational opportunities, recognition on NSCAA.com and at the 2017 convention, and access to a dedicated mentor. While at Knox from 2014-15, DeRose served as an assistant coach helping the Prairie Fire set a single-season school record for wins in 2015 with a 13-5-2 record.
